
🎶Byrnes High School Choir earned straight Superiors on stage and excellent in SATB sight reading in the 5A Varsity Division at SCMEA Choral Performance Assessment. They earned straight Superior captions from two of the judges! Byrnes Freshman Academy earned Superior on stage and Superior in sight reading at the 5A non-varsity level.

Congratulations to the Byrnes Rebels Theater which placed 1st and medaled at the SCSTA state competition yesterday for our show Hadestown. They also received awards in the following categories:
🥉Bella Grace Wells and Emma Strong got 3rd place for Musical Theatre Duet
🥇Carolena Sims got first place for musical theatre solo
🥉Jaelyn Talley got 3rd dramatic musical theatre solo
🥈Ahmriah McCall and Darcy Yarborough won 2nd place in Duet acting scene
🥉Jeremiah Anderson 3rd for solo story telling
🥉And Byrnes won 3rd place group acting for Steel Magnolias (medaled for this)
🥇And Byrnes won 1st place for Hadestown in Musical Theatre Group (medaled for this)

The online ASVAB is being offered on our campus, Tuesday., April 1st, 2025, for Juniors & Seniors.
Testing starts at 8:15 AM SHARP (taking up to 3 hours).
Submit this Google Form to REQUEST testing.
To COMPLETE your registration you MUST complete & return the ASVAB Parent Permission Form. (The form link is in this Google Form). A hard copy of the Parent Permission Form is also available from Ms. Sanders in Room #3314.

HOSA's State Leadership Conference (SLC) was this past weekend where there were over 2,200 students competing.
Damian Lopez and Chloe Allen finished 2nd in the state in with their Health Career Display.
Andrew Rogers finished 3rd in the state in Dental Terminology.
Kelsey Adams, Lauren Burger, and Kinsley Pearson finished 4th in the state in Medical Innovation.
We are so incredibly proud of them!

Reminder to those students who pre-registered for the ACT Test Prep. Workshop tomorrow, Friday, 3/07/2025. Pre-registered students should report to the Library (BEFORE the bell rings for 1st period) from 8:15 AM to 12:45 PM.
Note:
Attendance will be reported to the Front Office based on check-in & being present for the entire workshop.
Participants will be released from the workshop (and to 4th Lunch) @ 12:45 PM.
Please bring your Student ID AND your CHARGED laptop to the training.
Each student is assigned to either the "MATH" or the "ENGLISH" topic for the first half of the workshop. Midway through the workshop students will switch to the other session topic.

FYI: Each Middle School will have their own times at their schools as well.
