Spelling just got moo-re fun! 🐄 Ms. Benson’s class played a new review game where getting “Spot the Cow” means spelling the next word—and they loved every minute of it!

Spotted some extra cuteness today! 🐶 Ms. Goldsmith and Ms. Drummond’s class celebrated the 101st day of school by dressing up like Dalmatians—and it was 101% adorable! 🤍🖤

This week, our 5th GT students held a Philosophical Chairs debate on Design Justification, using geometry and precise math language to defend their favorite logos--Publix v. Lowes Foods. After analyzing shapes, angles, symmetry, and design elements, Publix took the win!

💰 Coin experts in the making! Ms. Heffner’s 2nd graders practiced sorting mixed coins and finding their value. Way to count that cash! 🪙✨

We loved welcoming our board member representative, Meredith Gergley, to our school and truly enjoyed getting to meet her and spend time getting to know her. Our Paw Patrol members, Multilingual Ambassadors, and forth grade students represented Wellford with so much pride as they shared what they love about our school and talked about the important responsibilities our fifth graders have—especially how they support our younger students and bilingual learners. We popped into classrooms and related arts to see teaching and learning in action, then enjoyed breakfast in the cafeteria while watching a student-created video highlighting all the things our students love about Wellford Academy. Such a special morning celebrating the heart, leadership, and community that make Wellford so amazing! 💙🐾
