Wellford Academy is dreaming big and representing our future destinations! Today, our Wolfpack showed off their favorite college and team gear as we celebrated the endless possibilities ahead. From hometown teams to dream schools, we’re embracing the journey and cheering on bright futures!
Our 2nd graders had an out-of-this-world adventure at the Lincoln Science Center & Planetarium on Thursday! They explored hands-on exhibits, discovered the wonders of space, and experienced an exciting planetarium show. After a day of learning and fun, they enjoyed a delicious lunch at Fuddruckers! What a fantastic field trip full of curiosity and discovery! ✨🚀🌎

🎶🎻 On Tuesday our 4th graders had an unforgettable musical experience at Twichell Auditorium at Converse College! They attended a mesmerizing orchestra concert, where they got to hear beautiful live music and learn about different instruments. This trip was a wonderful opportunity to connect classroom learning with the magic of the performing arts! 🎼✨

🎶🔬 Making Music with Science! 🎶🔬
Mrs. Phillips' 5th-grade students took their learning to the next level after reading a nonfiction text about sound! Using their knowledge of vibrations, pitch, and volume, they designed and created their own musical instruments from materials collected around the school. 🥁🎸🎺
To top it off, Mr. Sears stopped by to check out their creative designs, and students got to showcase their musical inventions in action! 🎶👏

Today, our students had the amazing opportunity to meet Kevin Kurtz, a talented nonfiction children's book author! He shared his journey to becoming a writer and inspired our young readers with his fascinating stories.
A huge thank you to Mr. Kurtz for visiting, signing books for students who ordered them, and taking time for photos! These special memories will stay with our Wolfpack for a long time. 🐺❤️

Our AVID team is always looking for ways to help students succeed! This week, they collaborated and shared strategies with teachers on how to take note-taking to the next level in their classrooms. From interactive graphic organizers to structured Cornell notes, they’re equipping teachers and students with tools to enhance learning and organization.
