🐾 Celebrating Winn-Dixie Style in Mrs. Crocker’s Class! 🐾 Mrs. Crocker’s students wrapped up their study of Because of Winn-Dixie with a special celebration inspired by the book and movie! They enjoyed their own “dog party” complete with egg salad, root beer candies (Litmus Lozenges), cake, and dump punch—just like in the story. Students watched the movie and shared in the joy of their own version of Winn-Dixie. What a memorable way to bring literature to life! 📚✨

🌟 Innovation in Action! 🌟 Students in Miss Hill’s Innovation Station are bringing history to life in the most creative way! Today at Wellford Academy, we pause to recognize and thank the brave men and women who have served our country. Our students learned about the sacrifices and courage of veterans, reminding us all of the true meaning of service and freedom. Today Wellford Academy's first graders proudly showcased their learning during a Veterans Day program. ❤️The students honored local veterans with song, writing, and artwork, demonstrating their appreciation for the service and sacrifices made by these heroes. 🇺🇸Their presentation, filled with enthusiasm and sincerity, reflected the lessons they've learned about gratitude, patriotism, and community. Our young learners in K5, 1st, and 2nd grade are diving into fall and academic vocabulary! Using their senses, they’re exploring new words and expanding their language skills through hands-on activities.
