Just a reminder to families of 3rd and 4th Graders that SC Ready Testing begins tomorrow with Writing for ELA Day 1. Families, please help your student have a successful testing experience tomorrow and the other testing days by encouraging a good night’s sleep, making sure they eat a nutritious breakfast, and please avoid scheduling appointments on test days. Congratulations to Yana Tzvyd whose artwork was named Honorable Mention at the Spartanburg County Youth Art Month Exhibit at the Chapman Cultural Center in Spartanburg! Yana's artwork was chosen as the first runner up in the K-5 category of artwork representing schools all across Spartanburg County. She is a 4th grader in Mrs. Goode's art class. Way to go Yana! We are SO proud of you!
The South Carolina College-and Career-Ready Assessments (SC READY) are statewide assessments in English language arts (ELA) and mathematics for 3rd and 4th graders in our school. Congratulations to our Terrific Kid of the Year, Alex Mialik! Alex is a fourth grader who loves math and recess. He enjoys playing soccer and is looking forward to playing flag football. He is a thoughtful, responsible, and bright student. He shows kindness to all and seeks out opportunities to help. Alex shows what it takes to be a terrific kid every day.
