Last week, in Mr. Warren’s Media Tech class, students conducted a session called “Fix the Production.” In this session, students presented a scenario depicting a potential issue in a broadcast production. Students were divided into groups and tasked with collaboratively identifying and resolving the problem to restore the production to its original state. This hands-on activity involved getting students out of their seats and engaging in group work and proved highly effective in motivating and engaging them.
Boys Wrestling season will begin on Monday November 2nd. Wrestling practice on November 2nd and 3rd will be 8:00-10:00am. Practices will begin after school on November 4th and will run 4:00-6:00 at Byrnes High School Wrestling room. Athletes must have an updated physical and all forms completed on Arbiter to be able to participate.
Middle Schoolers and 9th graders can ride the activity bus over to Byrnes and then will need to be picked up at Byrnes at 6:00.

🏀 Coach Fowler’s PE3 class started champions week today!! The Runnin’ Rebels are getting ready!
🏋️♂️Coach Cross’ Strength and Fitness class was in the weight room today.
🍁 Coach Higdon’s Outdoor Adventure Class build survival shelters and used leaves for insulation.
👔Coach Justus’ AVID seniors taught life skills to their classmates. Knox Clyburn and Zahara Donald practice Life Skills of tying a tie and sewing a button. 🧵🪡
🇺🇸 ROTC has been busy! Including a group photo with Cadet Cara Williams at the Military Officer's Association of America Awards Dinner.
🛫JROTC ERAU Dual-Enrollment class went to Greenville Downtown AirPort for pre-flight training and a lunch on the airport. The JROTC Color Guard supported Senior Night and helped out at the Walnut Grove Plantation All Hallows Eve Trick-Or-Treat event. 🎃

🖍️Mrs. Harris’ English 2 students worked on their Rhetorical appeals posters, where they used ethos, logos, and pathos to persuade others. Abby and Ja’licia persuaded others to watch the upcoming school band performance! (Wearing their band shirts too!) 🤩
👻 Mrs. Watt’s English students worked on an “escape room” review and their haunted house Airbnb projects.

🎨Mrs. Sloan's Art 2 Honors just completed their "Fractured Monochromatic Portraits". Students used acrylic paint to create these awesome artworks!
💃🏼 Mrs. Archie’s Dance classes worked on the Dance Showcase on Friday November 20 at 6 pm in the Fine Arts Center.
🎀 Mrs. Long’s Art Appreciation students completed Chapter 7 on the Principles of Design with their Ribbons Project.
👩🏻🎨 Mrs. Long’s Art 2 students worked hard on their Printmaking Projects!
📸 Mrs. Sheehans Art 1 classes just completed their acrylic self portraits by referencing their images in half. They then arranged the half strategically using seamless acrylic techniques to blend transitions and value temperature and contrast. Better than picture day!

📈 Dr. DeMarco’s Math students did a card matching activity to determine which graphical display best represents the described data. Students also completed any missing data on the cards.
🧬Mrs. Wright and Mrs. Kuronya’s Honors Biology students created a pedigree when provided with information on Hidaya and her family from Tanzania. They traced albinism and determined the inheritance patterns.
🪨Mrs. Demumbreum and Coach Shaw’s Environmental Science Classes collected soil samples on campus and identified the soil composition and friability through the ribboning process while they identified the layers of the soil profile.

🤖Mrs. Brinsons students learned about AI and Machine Learning. They worked in groups to design and test an Ozobot system which allowed them to correlate how step-by-step actions mirror script execution on a webpage.
⛳️The Lady Rebels played great at Upper State today, finishing 4th and qualifying as a team for state next week! Congratulations ladies!!!🏌️♀️
The Class AAAAA Girls Golf State Championship will be held next Monday 10/26 and Tuesday 10/27 at River Hills Golf Club in Little River, SC.
