Students in Mr. Smith’s class were challenged by Elf Breakout Boxes today. After studying gears and levers, students used problem solving skills to find clues to open different types of dial locks. Thankfully the starter for Santa's sleigh was found!
Congratulations to the FCMS Athletes of the Week! Brooklyn McGill displays kindness unlike most young people you will find. She gives her all in cheer, with a smile and a warm heart. Walker Burdette had huge basketball games, gathering rebounds and creating plays. Sam Fowler shows great leadership qualities on the basketball court, working hard and encouraging teammates. Kavion Brown, a 7th grade basketball player, came off the bench totaling 8 points, 4 blocks, and a number of rebounds. Nick Zadorozhnyy helped in victories and broke into the starting lineup for our wrestling team.

Ms. Acosta’s Spanish 1 class visited Mrs. Baker’s class at River Ridge Elementary. The students read different books in Spanish as part of their final project where their speaking, reading and comprehension skills were put into practice. The students did a great job interacting with the children and acting out the stories! #WeAreD5 #fcmscougars

FCMS had a canned food drive recently that also served as a competition among the 6 houses of our school. Our students brought in over 800 items that are being delivered to the Middle Tyger Community Center. Well done! 🥫🥫🥫#WeAreD5 #fcmscougars
FCMS’s AVID and reading classes visited D5 elementary schools today to spread some holiday cheer. They read holiday stories to the children and had a surprise visit from Santa! Students worked hard to prepare and we are so proud of them! 🌟 📚 🎄
